With the city of Bath just 30 minutes drive away, you’d most likely be eyeing it for some well deserved shopping but look closer and you may find that special gift right here in Lacocks own shops.
We’re home to a number of truly distinctive shops, some of which like Watling Goldsmiths and Silversmiths in east street deservedly have long established patronage and others such as Coco Chemistry are fast developing their own niche in the marketplace.
Stroll around the Village and in west street you’ll find Quintessentially English, a shop specialising in hand made soaps, luxury toiletries and other beauty products. Along church street there’s Wiltshire Crafts, an exquisite shop selling distinctive produce from local artisans.
Follow church street to the end and you’ll find David McDowells Pottery studio where they make and sell their own unique pieces along with supporting ranges from his contemporaries.
Watling Goldsmiths and Silversmiths of Lacock has been established in Lacock for over 40 years, a landmark in itself and testament to their name which is synonymous with quality and service.Specialising in handmade jewellery they are a Lacock Institution. Their shop is on east street standing next to their gift shop where you’ll find many unique and exquisite gifts.

Tucked away in west street next to the George pub is the courtyard and its here that you’ll find the Antiques Shop, the very popular Bartys and the Emporium Oak & Pine Furniture Showroom……………and don’t forget the handmade chocolates at Coco Chemistry……………delicious !
The National Trust Giftshop in the high street is an Aladdins treasure cave and stocks a myriad of quality goods, also on this street you’ll find the Whitehall farm shop and post office.
Just outside the village and a short walk away is Whitehall Garden Centre , a family run firm since 1968 with over 45 years of garden retail. Whitehall has one of the largest selections of outdoor plants in the South West;
Whitehall is so much more than a Garden Centre though, you’ll also find an excellent range of gifts, reclaimed oak furniture, casual clothing & shoes, houseplants, outdoor pots and ornaments, floral gifts, garden sundries and garden furniture.
Whitehall is also home to an award winning farm shop, cafe and restaurant and hosts many events throughout the year.
